Elizabeth Juhasz
On this page, I’ve catalouged all of the materials I could find pertaining to Liz. If I have missed anything, please e-mail me and I will add it to this page.
- The Pulmonary Hypertension Association - For those who didn’t know, Liz was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension in 2003. Her family has requested donations to the PHA instead of sending them flowers so that others who share Liz’s condition can be helped.
- An article about Liz in the Towson Towerlight
- Liz attended karate classes at the Good Luck Community Center, and a group of people there have put together an audio CD of memories about her. I’ve encoded the tracks and uploaded them here in the order they appear on the CD.
- The pastor’s sermon at the funeral
- A poem by Katie
- A poem by Kris, Liz’s sister
- A statement for Liz’s funeral by Paul, her father
- A photo album - If anyone has any photos that aren’t in this album and wouldn’t mind sharing them with the world, please e-mail either myself or Dither with the picture and we’ll make sure it gets up there.
A poem by Katie Meadows
She had a heart of gold,
Everyone knew….
She would always listen,
Just to help find that glimmer of truth…
She touched the hearts of everyone around
Not knowing that her time would not hold long
We were the fools.
We believed that we had the rest of our lives,
If only it was true…
For most of us we lived a lie,
A lie we wished was the truth.
So from this day on, a band of friends
The ones she left behind,
Are left to carry on the things that she never got to do.
To walk down the isle and say “I do”
To take that trip to somewhere unknown and say “I have been there”
These are just some of the things that she would have wanted to do…
Though she was here, but a short time,
Our Darling Lizzie accomplished more then most,
She had the love of a brother and sister that most people never have,
A Mother and a Father that always stood by her side…
A gut instinct that would be true down to the dime….
Never betraying that trust no matter how hard people would convince
her otherwise.
Though the greatest thing she passed on was how to love
And for that you can not deny
She passes on her love as a guardian angel that watches over us all.
Helping to enrich all of our lives.
Oz, by Kristina Juhasz
Her past was her disease
Gnawing at her insides
She searched for a light
That would guide her to her peace
All hopes of survival were nothing more than a dream
That pleased her as she slept
As she looked for hope
Blood trickled down from the cord that connected her to her only hope for a longer life
She stood on the sidelines of the world she wished to be a part of
She made due with what she could
Though she knew she would never be her again
She lived in Kansas, but dreamt of Oz
She hoped for a death
A death that would lead to her living again
Her living in Oz
